Tandem Skydiving in Gran Canaria

Tandem Skydiving over Gran Canaria

From an altitude of 3,000 metres, the Maspalomas dunes look like a bright streak beside the Atlantic, the coastline stretches out in both directions, and the ocean reaches all the way to the horizon. A tandem jump with a licensed instructor requires no prior experience or training. The instructor is responsible for the entire jump and your safety — all you have to do is take in the view.

What the Jump Involves

You'll meet your instructor in Playa del Inglés, where you'll get a brief briefing and be fitted with your harness. Next comes the drive to the airport and a plane flight up to an altitude of around 3,000 metres. Once you reach that height, the free fall begins, lasting about 30 to 40 seconds, after which the parachute opens. The flight under the open canopy lasts around 5 to 7 minutes and ends with a landing on the Maspalomas dunes.
