La Palma (from Puerto de la Cruz)

If you only have one day to explore another island, La Palma is an excellent choice. Known as the Beautiful Island, it is one of the greenest and most picturesque Canary Islands, with a landscape and atmosphere completely different from those of Tenerife. This full-day excursion from Puerto de la Cruz allows you to learn about the history, the most recent volcano in Europe, and lava landscapes that you won't find in Tenerife.

Santa Cruz de La Palma

Upon arriving on the island, we start with a walk through the capital of La Palma, one of the most charming cities in the Canary Islands. The historic center, cobblestone streets, characteristic wooden balconies, and colonial architecture create an atmosphere that is hard to find in the more touristy islands of the archipelago.

Tajogaite Volcano

Next, the route takes us to a place that changed the island's history. The Tajogaite volcano formed during the 2021 eruption and is one of the youngest volcanic landscapes in Europe. The guide will explain how the eruption developed, its impact on the inhabitants, the changes the island has undergone since then, and the geology and volcanic activity of La Palma. It is an opportunity to see with your own eyes the most recent lava fields in Europe, still fresh and clearly distinct from the older volcanic formations.

Lunch at a local restaurant

During the day, a break for lunch is included, where you can relax and taste the local flavors of the island.

Sanctuary of Our Lady of the Snows

Before returning, we visit the Sanctuary of Our Lady of the Snows, the patron saint of La Palma. It is one of the most important pilgrimage sites on the island, known for its tranquil atmosphere and special significance to the locals.

What the price includes

Transfer from the hotel to the port of Los Cristianos and return transfer at the end of the excursion, ferry tickets Tenerife–La Palma–Tenerife, transportation in an air-conditioned coach around the island, accompaniment by an official guide, and lunch.

Important information

Each participant must bring the original of their ID or passport; without a valid document, boarding the ferry may not be possible. The return ferry to Tenerife departs at approximately 17:00. The excursion takes place on Tuesdays and Thursdays and lasts all day. The guide speaks Spanish, English, and German.
