Tour details
La Laguna, Anaga and the North Coast
The north of Tenerife seems like a completely different island from the one most tourists know in the south. It is a green, humid area, with a city declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site, wild mountains shrouded in mist, and black beaches next to an imposing ocean. This route covers all these facets of the island in a single day, with a small group of between 4 and 8 people.
San Cristóbal de La Laguna
The first capital of Tenerife and one of the best-preserved colonial cities in the Canary Islands, declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site. A stroll through the historic center allows you to feel the authentic atmosphere of the island of yesteryear. The tour includes the Plaza del Cristo, the Sanctuary of Christ, and the Cathedral of San Cristóbal de La Laguna. After the visit, there is a moment at the local market, where you can see the daily life of its inhabitants and taste characteristic regional products of the island.
Anaga Rural Park
One of the wildest and greenest areas of Tenerife, declared a Biosphere Reserve by UNESCO. Here the island shows a completely different face: dense vegetation, humidity, mist, and landscapes that at certain moments seem almost unreal. Along the way, there are stops at the viewpoints of Jardina and Pico del Inglés, from where you can enjoy wide panoramas of the mountains, the ocean, and the green ridges of Anaga.
One of the most charming places on this route is the Fairy Tunnel, a natural green tunnel formed by the branches of trees intertwining over the path, wrapped in mist and humidity. The program also includes a brief walk through the laurisilva forest, with its exceptional microclimate and lush, dense vegetation that has retained the same appearance for hundreds of years.
Roque de las Bodegas and Benijo
Descent to the north coast, to two places known for their volcanic and rugged landscape, their black beaches, and their imposing ocean. A stop is also planned for lunch at a local restaurant serving homemade food and wine. The place is famous for its excellent cuisine, with a menu that includes, among other dishes, octopus considered by many to be one of the best in Tenerife, as well as other regional specialties. Lunch is not included in the price of the excursion.
Playa de Las Teresitas
The day ends at one of the most recognizable beaches on the island, covered in golden sand brought from the Sahara. A good time to relax, stroll along the shore, or take a dip in the ocean before returning.
